Gone on a Picnic

Yesterday Dad surprised all of us by taking us to the Pembina Valley near our place for a picnic.

It wasn't very warm but the scenery was beautiful and everyone really enjoyed it!

We had our picnic in the corner of a pasture, this was our view.

After we had a fire going it was nice and cozy to sit around.

Grama & Andy

There were cows in the pasture and they came to see if we wanted to share with them :)

And for dessert we had the first smores of the season :)

Yummy!

Randy trying real hard to get the marshmallow on just right :)

Andy had a great time outside.

A quick hike and Randy got some flowers for Mommy.

And that was our Sunday with the family.

Thanks Dad it was great!

~SPRING~

It's me again! :)

Well spring is here and I'm thinking that everyone is pretty busy (including us :)

But here I am to show you just abit of whats been going on around here.

Sorry for not posting for such a long time, but blogging just hasn't been working for me lately (not sure what was wrong) so any way here it goes :)

On Sunday we had a family gathering, so my very favoritest nephew Andy came over!

On Sunday we also celebrated my dear Mom and Dad's 26th wedding anniversary!

I love you so much Mom and Dad!

We've been watching The Vancouver Canucks play hockey, lots of fun!

GO CANUCKS!!

Planting our vegetable and flower gardens.

Sort of waiting for the fields to dry up so that we can get out there and finish with seeding.

Enjoying the beauty that God has put all around us.

Going on horse rides with your sister (lots of fun!)

And simply enjoying the wonderful life that God has given us!!

I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:

I will sing praise to my God while I have my being!

Hello Everyone!

Well I guess I don't need to say that we haven't posted in a while.

(I'm guessing you probably all know that already :)

And I am sorry for that but I'm going to try and make up for it in one long post.

But first of all someone very special has something very important to say....

Hi I'm Andy and.....

I'M GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!!!!!

Yep he's right Lord willing in November this year my big sis Becca is going to have a baby!!

I'm SO excited and hope everything will go well for them.

All the best you guys!

Now to get on with my post,

Last week we started with seeding (finally) most years were about done by this time of year but lets just say this year has been slower then most.

So here's some pictures of the one day we got to go seeding before we got more rain :)

It was a beautiful day and lots of fun to spend it outside getting ready to go seeding.

Then this week Tuesday we had a customer appreciation lunch for the Feedrite store that we have.

It was a rainy day so we didn't have to think about being in the fields :)

So everybody could relax and enjoy the BBQ.

Uncle Willie managing the BBQ's

(cute smile :)

Just havin' a good afternoon.

And so that's about all that we've been busy with for the last while,

Now if we were in charge of drying the fields to go seeding then that's exactly what we would be doing :)

After getting about one inch of rain everything is rather wet here, but thankfully we don't need to worry about that cause there's someone who's taking care of it all!

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.

Dear Mom;

Happy Mothers day!

Sorry this is kind of late but I figured that it doesn't really matter when I do this cause it's always going to be true.

Mom your the best!

Everyday is always so much fun cause I get to live it together with you!

I learn from the things you tell me but most of all from watching you,the love you show to everyone around you,the way you care for the children and even though your busy you always take time for each of us.

The way you love Dad,and the devotion you show to God.

For taking the time to teach us at home rather then bringing us to school.

And for always giving of yourself rather then taking for yourself.

I LOVE YOU SO VEY MUCH MOM!!!!

Baby Lambs

Two tears ago the children got Raymond and Randy each a lamb for their birthday. So as it goes with all other things these lambs to grew up and have now become full grown. Last week we had the joy of seeing one of the ewes kid. Not only did she have one lamb but gave birth to three healthy little lambs. Each lamb weighed about 8 pounds and was just a nice handful for the boys.We had never experienced anything so small having babies. ( Cows calving is totally different) But the nice thing about lambs is that they are so gentle and not aggressive so the children can be right there in the pen and not have to fear about getting run over. We were so thankful to have a neighbor close by who came over right away and gave us some helpful hints and different things to watch for in the little ones. Love, is a first time mother but she sure takes good care of her little family and so far is able to nurse each one of them. The children have the baby bottles ready for when the time will come that she won't have enough milk for them all.

The Ewe's name is Love. So they decided to name her offspring Joy,Peace and Hope. The ram is Longsuffering. So once the other ewe has her little ones they want to continue with the "Fruits of the Spirit"
