Memoreis Monday

In memory of our little Rosalyn who was born March 14 th 2003.
You were with us for one short week before you went back to your makers arms. We have many memories of that short week. But we know for certain that she is experiencing no illness and that she now has a prefect whole heart. Here are some pictures to lead you through the week that we spent with our little loved one.

A poem that our daughter Rebecca wrote for Rosalyn's memory card.

A wee bit of heaven

Drifted down from above

A handful of happiness

A heart full of love.

But God saw it better

To take her back to Him

So that this little sweetheart

Won't have to live in this world of sin.

On earth she was our angel

So cute and precious to us all.

We would have liked to keep her here

But God wanted her when she was small.

Our little ROSE now blooms,

in a garden up above,

And even if we cannot see her,

We know God's watching her with love.

We ask God to help us

To understand His will,

To help us to grow closer to Him,

And our hearts with love to fill.

We love you little Rosie and are waiting to meet you once again someday.

Your family

"Fear thou not;for I am with thee:be not dismayed;for I am thy God:I will strengthen thee;yea,I will help thee;yea,I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Isaiah 41:10

Making Ice Cream

It all starts in the barn where we milk the cows and gather the eggs. Then send the children outside to bring in a pail of nicely crystallized snow. After mixing together eggs, sugar milk and cream and pouring it into the ice cream freezer. Pack the snow and salt around the freezer and the fun begins. Get the children to keep packing more snow and salt around the freezer as it turns to slush. If everything works well in about 20-30 min you should have your finished product, one gallon of fresh homemade ice cream. It is now time to gather the family around and enjoy this yummy treat together. Nothing tastes better than eating it fresh,no use saving it,just make another batch the next day!

Licking the dasher is a favorite!

Sunday at Home

This past Sunday we were without a vehicle to take the family to church. Due to our van being in the repair shop. So how would we take the family to church? Horses without a buggy were not sufficient. So we decided...

to walk to "The Church in the Wild wood" with our family. Here we are walking down our driveway.

We walked to a bush just across the highway from our yard and hiked into there for aways.

Here we have been camping as a family for some nights during the summer and therefore we have abit of a firepit and eating area there. So here we spent some time singing and reading the Living Word and just having some good family time.

It being nice and warm when we came home the children enjoyed some fun playing with water.
They hooked up the hose to warm water and had it spraying over the tarp making it slippery as they ran and slid across it.Then saddling up their horses they took them for a ride across the freshly combined field.

Even though we were stranded and couldn't go anywhere,it sure is a good feeling that we can make some of the best memories right around home with the children gathered around.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11
