A Quick Update on our Little Grandson!

It is behind these doors that little Andrew has spent the past 12 weeks. His mommy and daddy have also been spending many hours there with him. Waiting for progress and test results to come back. We want to thank you as our family, friends and blog followers for standing behind us through this time. It is through your prayers, support and encouragement that has made this time possible. Thanks for the many times that you have gone before the Lord on Andrew's behalf. Your many prayers have made a difference in the lives of us all.

Yesterday we once again went to see and visit with our little grandson. What a priceless time I had holding, feeding and burping him. I told him he had many aunties and uncles at home that were praying for him to get stronger. He had his eyes wide open and was looking and listening to every word I said to him.

While we were there the Dr. came in and had some exciting news for us! They had taken Andrew off of the caffeine once again. So if in 5 days he does not have any desats(it takes 5 days for the caffeine to get out of his system) then Andy should be able to come home and guess what? Live in the Country! A special prayer would be that Andy would do OK with out the caffeine. But this to we want to leave in the Lord's hands, for his timing is best.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;they shall mount up with wings as eagles;they shall run,and not be weary;and they shall walk, and not faint.

Baby Blankets

Well since it's been very cold out side for these last few days,we've been sewing some baby blankets for baby gifts, and for our nephew Andy,So I thought I'd post some pictures of Rita sewing them.

Sorry about this last picture, but I should tell you that my sister Rita,is sometimes quite camera shy :)
But I still think she did a great job, even tough she is camera shy sometimes! :) :)

Making Ice Cream

It all starts in the barn where we milk the cows and gather the eggs. Then send the children outside to bring in a pail of nicely crystallized snow. After mixing together eggs, sugar milk and cream and pouring it into the ice cream freezer. Pack the snow and salt around the freezer and the fun begins. Get the children to keep packing more snow and salt around the freezer as it turns to slush. If everything works well in about 20-30 min you should have your finished product, one gallon of fresh homemade ice cream. It is now time to gather the family around and enjoy this yummy treat together. Nothing tastes better than eating it fresh,no use saving it,just make another batch the next day!

Licking the dasher is a favorite!
