Remembrance Day

Today in Canada we are reminded of the freedom that some men fought for and gave their life for. To often we forget the many privileges we have and that we can enjoy a free country.
Then to I am reminded of another life that was laid down to give us eternal freedom. God's only son,Jesus was willing to give His life so that all the world could be made free. This freedom is offered to the whole world. We only need to realize that we are sinners and in need of a Saviour. By asking Him to enter into our heart and life we can have that eternal redemption. God is so good to us. Let's not forget to thank Him for what He did for us and that we can enjoy spiritual freedom through His suffering, death on the cross and Resurrection.
He is despised and rejected of men;a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:and we hid as it were our faces from him;he was despised and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God,and afflicted. He was wounded for our transgressions,he was bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace was upon him;and with his stripes we were healed. All we like sheep have gone astray;we have turned everyone to his own way;and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53: 3-6

Thanks to Raechelle for being creative and doing these pictures. She was out before breakfast snapping some of these. We had a lovely layer of freshly fallen snow this morning.
